Frequently Asked Questions

Go to https://www.dorm.ccu.edu.tw/student/ and login with student ID number. For those applying dormitory network during Summer or Winter vacation, if you have applied dormitory network the semester before, click on "Extend"; if not so, click on "Apply Now".

For short-term network requirements, please contact the DormNet office for relevant information.

Please go to https://www.dorm.ccu.edu.tw/student/ and login with student ID number, click on edit profile and add the MAC address of your computer. You could use both Wi-Fi and cable network at the same time, without paying extra fee. If you don't know how to get the MAC address of your computer, please visit the "Mac Address Lookup" manual on the DormNet website for more details.

If you use electronic payment, it requires 1~14 days for bank process. After it finishes, our system will be updated. Therefore you may upload the receipt photo or bank transfer screenshot to DormNet website, and we will update the payment status as soon as we can.

The current structure of dormitory network is one IP per user, meaning that only one authorized equipment could use the dormitory network at a time. In response to the demand of changing equipment, It is allowed to authorize up to three Mac address nowadays.

Please go to the dorm administration office to fill in the form for “Dormitory room/bed change,” and have it signed by the dormitory office. Bring the form and your student ID card to the DormNet office.

Log into “https://www.dorm.edu.tw/student/". Click on “Edit Profile", change MAC address to the current one. After approximately thirty minutes, the dormitory network should be ready to use.

Please go to Cloudflare Speed and test to see if the internet speed is smooth. If the test result is smooth, but the connection to a particular webpage is very slow, it may be a problem from the webpage.

Dormitory network has two offices, office CB1 at B1, building C, undergraduate dormitory and office219 at Office Of Information Technology.

Please use a computer which can connect to the internet, Login to DormNet website, click the button of ”Suspension History” to check for the disconnection reason. If there isn't any suspension record, please go to the online report system to report your question, or bring your laptop to the DormNet office during office hours.

Any action of uploading/downloading non-authorized materials, and/or being reported by Taiwan Academic Network office, Department of Information and Technology Education, Ministry of Education and/or Intellectual Property Rights owner.

Violator for the first time will be suspended for four weeks and is required fill an assurance to state one will not violate violate Intellectual Property Rights again at dormitory network office; for the second time, violator will be permanently suspended for the semester. Notice that such violation is also punishable by law and could lead to civil compensation action.

If one's computer has the behaviour of attacking other s and/or sending spam mail cause by computer virus infection is considered so.

Please be sure to finish virus scan and remove all the virus. Login to DormNet website and click on "Recovery". Follow the instructions on the page and go through the recovery process. The suspension period starts counting after you apply for recovery. You can go to “DormNet Regulations” section 10 to check for the suspension period.

Dormitory network has a traffic limitation of 15GiB capacity per day, including upload and download. Of wired network and Wi-Fi traffic are summed up. If your usage is over the limitation, the network will be disabled automatically. If your usage is over the limitation, the network will be disabled automatically.

The network will be recovered on the next day automatically. You do not need to apply for recovery for overflow suspension.

The Dormitory Network system uses Cisco Netflow technology to calculate the network usage. According to our observation, the usage recorded by the system is usually less than the actual usage. If you have doubts on the traffic flow, you could follow the “Traffic Flow Statistics” manual to analyze the traffic flow on your own.
